Vermeil praises Mahomes’ unique skills
Former NFL coach Dick Vermeil believes that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes possesses a dimension in his game that Joe Montana and Tom Brady did not have. Vermeil highlighted Mahomes’ mobility, accuracy in throwing the ball from any body or foot position, and his ability to make plays. While occasionally his style may backfire, Vermeil firmly believes that Mahomes is destined to surpass both Brady and Montana in terms of overall career success.
Mahomes’ accomplishments so far
Although Mahomes has yet to reach the same level of accolades as Brady and Montana, he has already made significant achievements in his career. He has been selected to the Pro Bowl six times, received two First-Team All-Pro selections, and won the NFL MVP twice.
Mahomes’ leadership through obstacles
Throughout the season, Mahomes demonstrated his leadership skills by guiding the Chiefs through offensive challenges. Despite not always having the same firepower on the field, he led the team to an 11-6 record and a division title.
Stats and potential Super Bowl victory
During the season, Mahomes recorded 4,183 passing yards and 27 touchdown passes. However, he also threw a career-high 14 interceptions. Although his passing yards and touchdown totals were lower than the previous season, if history repeats itself, Mahomes could potentially add another Super Bowl title to his list of achievements by the end of Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
