“It turned out really well. I think we’re all really excited,”
College Football Hall of Fame CEO Kimberly Beaudin expressed her enthusiasm about the newly unveiled gaming lounge in a recent interview with Fox News Digital. The gaming lounge features six gaming stations, including four independent ones and two that can go head-to-head. With built-in bleachers for viewing, Beaudin described the setup as “pretty cool.”
Playing the Classics and the Current
Visitors to the gaming lounge can enjoy playing the last college football game to be released on consoles, “NCAA Football 14,” while eagerly awaiting the release of the new game. Beaudin also mentioned that fans can play “Madden” in the lounge. The gaming lounge has not only provided an exciting experience for visitors but has also strengthened the partnership between the College Football Hall of Fame and Microsoft.
A Nostalgic Choice
When asked about who she would choose to feature on the cover of the new game, Beaudin expressed her nostalgia by saying, “Oh goodness, if I were in charge, I would still be putting Tim Tebow on the cover.” She further praised Tebow’s recent Hall of Fame induction and referred to him as the ultimate cover player. However, Beaudin acknowledged that there are current options, including the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, Jayden Daniels.
Potential for Esports and Tournaments
In addition to providing a gaming experience, the new gaming lounge also opens up possibilities for hosting esports gaming events and tournaments in the future. James Bernstom, the head of CFHOF Partnership, expressed his pleasure in supporting the College Football Hall of Fame and highlighted the use of Microsoft technology solutions to enhance visitors’ experiences.
The gaming lounge, which opened in November, has added an exciting new dimension to the College Football Hall of Fame, offering both nostalgia and current gaming options for fans to enjoy.
