A Busy and Fulfilled Life
David Gandy, the renowned male model, has built a successful career as the face of Dolce & Gabbana and the creator of his own apparel brand, David Gandy Wellwear. At 43 years old, Gandy continues to juggle his professional commitments while enjoying family life with his wife, Stephanie Mendoros, and their two daughters.
The Daily Routine
Gandy’s days are filled with responsibility and little downtime. With two young girls, his routine revolves around their needs. After ensuring everyone is fed and cared for, Gandy heads to the gym for his hour of solitude. Switching off his phone, he immerses himself in music and workout, finding solace in this daily ritual.
A Home in Richmond Park
Last Christmas, Gandy and his family purchased a house in Richmond Park, which is currently undergoing renovations. They feel fortunate to have the best of both worlds, with London nearby and the picturesque Richmond Park as their backyard. Weekends are spent enjoying outdoor activities with their children, from swimming to horse riding.
Quality Time for the Couple
Gandy and his wife prioritize their relationship by setting aside Friday nights for themselves. Once the children are asleep, they indulge in cooking and savoring a few glasses of their favorite beverage. This cherished weekly tradition allows them to reconnect and unwind.
Family Gatherings and Shared Experiences
Gandy believes in involving his children in every aspect of life, from dining out to exploring culture. Recently, they have been hosting friends with kids of similar ages, creating a lively atmosphere in their home. The children stay over, parents gather, and everyone enjoys a fun-filled afternoon followed by an elegant evening.
A Balanced Approach to Nutrition
Contrary to popular belief, Gandy does not follow a strict diet. As a 15-stone, 6ft 3in man, he requires a substantial amount of calories and protein to sustain his busy schedule. While he tries to obtain these nutrients through his meals, he supplements with protein shakes and creatine when necessary. The one rule he abides by is avoiding processed foods.
Self-Motivated Fitness
Gandy takes pride in managing his fitness routine without the help of a personal trainer. He doesn’t engage in traditional cardio exercises but walks his dog for four miles every morning. From early morning until late at night, Gandy rarely takes a break and finds fulfillment in staying active.
A Convert to Comfort
Surprisingly, Gandy admits that he was not a fan of loungewear or pajamas until he collaborated with Marks and Spencer for his own brand, David Gandy Wellwear. Wearing soft clothing at home has become a routine that allows him to relax and unwind after a long day. It serves as a reminder to his mind that he is in a safe and comfortable space.
A Symbol of Appeal
Gandy understands that personal preferences vary, and what may appeal to some may not resonate with others. In his earlier days with Dolce & Gabbana, he embodied a certain fantasy. While being labeled a sex symbol is flattering, Gandy doesn’t dwell on it and focuses on his work and personal life.
